Golf

Hobbies

Ever since I was young, I have enjoyed watching and playing many sports. My favorite teams are the Edmonton Oilers, Pittsburgh Steelers, and New York Yankees (very random I know). Throughout high school, my favorite sports to play were soccer, hockey, lacrosse, and baseball. During COVID, I picked up golf and it has been my favorite ever since. I caddied as a summer job for 5 years and played 2 years of varsity golf in high school. Outside of traditional sports, I love to fish. I mostly salt water fish but also occasionally fresh water fish with my friends or family.

Aside from sports, I love to cook, play chess, play poker, and trade sports cards. Whenever I am have free time, you can usually find me doing one of the activities mentionned in this section. Being outside and living a healthy and active life style are extremely important to me. These hobbies allow me to achieve that while also managing a heavy work load at school and work.

Home

My family is one of the things I cherish most in my life. I have a large family: a sister, brother, and 4 step siblings. We all grew up in northern New Jersey and them and most of my extended family are there or in Massachussetts. I am proud to be from New Jersey and love the Italian-American culture. We have the best breakfast sandwiches and deli's in the world. NJ Transit sucks, though.

Faith

While family is a close second, my faith is the most important aspect of my life. I really became involved in my faith when I was elected as 1 of 6 Campus Ministers at my high school. I have continued this involvement in my college life at Duke where I helped revive Duke's Thomistic Institute Chapter and serve as one of its Undergraduate Student Leaders. Studying and exploring Christian philosophy and theology has become a hobby for me and provides a nice break from the heavy science courseload as a STEM double major. I have enjoyed reading works from Thomas Aquinas, C.S. Lewis, and Joseph Pieper and listening to various Catholic leaders that the Thomistic Institute hosts. It is sad for me to see the widespread negative perception of Christianity in our society today and I strive to be a positive example of my community.
